I have a stuck caliper on my go kart. How do I fix this as easily as possible (and with preferably no money)? One piston is stuck in, one is out.

My advice would involve a sledge hammer, So Yeah.

I would unhook it from the brake line first, then heat, persuade it out, hone cylinder

remove pad, place wood block in there, use a clamp or vise to retract the piston, start with small amounts of pressure and stop if you can't get it cranking on it.

Disconnect the brake line then c-clamp that baby open with a wooden block over the piston. Should do the trick.

What bubba said. Just a simple fix with a c clamp

Sounds to me like the pistons are crooked and bound in their cylinders. Use an old brake pad and C-clamp to compress the pistons back down.

Is it stuck in or out?

If out then, then all the C-clamp advice.

If the piston is stuck in, then the removal and heat/hone advice (though if it is a two piston caliper and only one is stuck you could leave it attached to the line and block the unfrozen piston and see if you can use the hydraulic pressure to 'press' the stuck one out. Unless an actual mechanic has a problem with that advice. That's what I've done with stuck motorcycle calipers.)

And probably new seals.

They were and that trick allowed me to push them back into the caliper. I'll test them tomorrow.
